Team Corona,

We heard you loud and clear. In the latest release of Corona SDK, we went overboard on restricting access to skins. As a result, we were making the trial experience awful for anyone who’s just started to play with Corona.

So we are doing what no other company on the planet can do — completing a course correction in less than 24 hours, making this the shortest -gate (e.g. Watergate, Antennagate, etc.) in history.

Build #704 will be the new new release and is now available on our Download page. This release makes all the old skins from the previous public release available to trial users and subscribers alike1. As for the Kindle Fire and NOOK Color, you’ll still be allowed to create device builds — but if you want to access those particular skins or publish to the store, you’ll need to be a PRO user.

Now that this is behind us, please join me in thanking our awesome team for making this happen in mere hours. Our team makes the magic happen so quickly that it’s easy to forget that this is really hard stuff.

I hope you agree that, even when it’s not our finest hour, we’re committed to doing what’s best for you.

Thank you for putting your trust in Corona and in us.

Walter

Note: the myTouch is being replaced by the Sensation so you can preview your app on all the most popular screen sizes. The myTouch has the same screen size as the original iPhone.
