Meet the latest to join the Corona family!

Last Monday, one of our team members welcomed a new baby boy to their family.

So in that spirit, I wanted to introduce you to some recent additions to our Corona Labs family.

Awhile back, Danny Glover joined our team, but I wanted to highlight his new role as a Frameworks engineer. Danny started off on the customer support side and kept expressing a ton of interest in doing more. In short, he wanted to make it happen. Fast forward a few months. Today, Danny’s tackling bigger challenges and taking on a lot more responsibilities, like taking the widget library to the next generation.

A few months ago, Brent Sorrentino joined our Developer Relations team. He’s been a member of the Corona community for almost two years now. He has been fantastic about lending a hand in the forums as well as getting key issues on our radar. In particular, he’s taken a special interest of the indie developers in the community. And, as you may have already noticed, he’s got a knack for creating awesome tutorials.

Earlier in November, Alex Frangeti joined the Frameworks team. He’s been a Corona game developer from the very early days. He’s got a solid programming background and knows iOS and Lua by heart. His passion for Corona is what really caught our attention. One of his initial interests is finding ways to make you all more productive ranging from new frameworks to more guides. He’s also taken over the Corona API reference so all the feedback you submit at the bottom of each page now goes directly to him.

Last week, Rob Miracle joined our Developer Relations team. He’s programmed on everything spanning mainframe programming, to network protocols, to online multi-player games, to web development, to Corona. He’s been a Corona developer for over 18 months and during that time released over a dozen titles. On the forums, he’s been a consistent and ever-helpful presence. You’ll be seeing more of him online. You can’t miss his Star Wars-themed forum avatar β€” it’s the one with the light saber.

Let’s give them all a warm welcome!

It’s really cool seeing the “Staff” badge show up next to people in the forum — people who have been really helpful over the long haul.

Congratulations to all you Corona Labs newbies. πŸ˜‰

It’s great to see Corona Labs moving forward at a steady pace. I’m familiar with the names mentioned and all of them are great additions to the team!

I’m becoming more and more confident in my decision to stick with Corona SDK, as it has the potential to out-shine any of the other multi-platform tools on the market.
I’ve tried many of them and Corona SDK is by far the most fun to work with because of its fast prototyping capabilities. Best of all, these “prototypes” require very little extra coding to become release-ready.

The Corona Labs Team is becoming stronger, and so is the SDK…

Congrats Rob! I saw that ‘Staff’ badge next to your name and thought, “Hey wait a minute. Wasn’t he a pro developer just last time I looked?”
