iPad mini Review – Initial Thoughts and Impressions

iPad mini Review – Initial Thoughts and Impressions

On Friday I bought an iPad mini from the Apple Store. I’ve been using it all weekend, so I’ve created a quick video review to share my thoughts on the device. So far I can say that the iPad mini is an excellent device. It’s everything the iPad is without the awkward size and extra weight. The lack of retina display is not an issue and I absolutely love that I can type using my thumbs without having to jostle the device to reach keys. so far I’ve been able to do everything on the iPad Mini and I can do on a full sized iPad. After using the iPad mini all weekend, I can honestly say that I am more than pleased with the battery life and I think more people will buy the iPad mini in the future than they will the full sized iPad. Of course, it all depends on your use case so we’ll see.

If you have an iPad mini and feel like being awesome, share your comments below and let me know what you think so far.

I’ve been using my iPad mini as my primary tablet and I have to say I haven’t missed the larger screen on the iPad 2. I have ordered a folio case with a built in keyboard and I plan to test out using it more as my content creation device when I’m on the road and even when I’m in the office. Does anyone else use their iPad to create things on a regular basis? It’s kind of an on-going debate around here.
