During this week’s Corona Geek we talked with PlayLevel’s Barry Swan about his experience working with Corona SDK’s Graphics 2.0 engine. Barry created several interesting 2.5D demos while alpha testing Graphics 2.0. He’s has been able to use his years of game development knowledge in some very creative ways. Barry also showed us an impressive demo app he’s working on for the Graphics 2.0 Contest.

During this week’s Corona Geek, it almost literally rained cats and dogs during the rain and lightning code snippet walkthroughs. We walked through a great piece of code by Corona Ambassador Volodymr Sergeyev, that showed how to create and recycle objects to simulate rain. Ed Maurina modified that code on the fly and the results will make you laugh out loud.
