Levitan Software will conduct a three-day training course on Mobile App Development on April 22-24, 2013.
The three-day training for Aklan Catholic College(ACC) Faculty members aims to achieve the following:
- Introduce the participants on the concept of mobile app development and its significance to the global mobile app market;
- Introduce the different programs(Corona SDK, etc.) that can be used in mobile app development;
- Provide opportunity for participants to apply the concepts learned through hands-on training;
- Equip the participants to build a simple mobile app using their ideas at the end of the training course.

At the UCATEC Game Jam Weekend 2013, you’ll have 11 hours to develop a game from 0 to App Store quality! Attendees will learn Lua and Corona SDK and then make a simple, mobile game with social integration.
The event is open to all software developers, artists and designers. The development team of Island of the Moon will be coaching participants on the Lua language, Corona SDK and and general game development.

This workshop, by 2 experienced developers, will show you how to make both standard tile-based games and physics-based tile games (e.g., for puzzles) that work well, look great and engage your audience. Simon Academic’s 15-week programming class introduces young people, entering 5th-8th grade, to mobile game development with Corona SDK. The class starts with the basics of installing and configuring Corona SDK, to ultimately completing a mobile game with the platform.
Students will also learn about timers and animation, physics and collision detection, how to use multimedia, how to create databases, and much more. The class is arranged into 9 segments that are spread over 15 weeks.
All classes are held on Saturdays from 12pm to 2pm. Below is the class schedule:
