1. New PEX Particle importer for the masses!

While it’s true that there’s a Corona-supported solution for dynamically building particle emitters, it’s always nice to see more contributions to the Corona development cause. To that end, Corona developer no2games has provided some interesting code which allows us to import PEX particle emitters into our projects. This is very useful if you’ve already standardized with PEX, or if you’re familiar with it from other efforts.

2. Tableview additions are in the bag

I’m finding that table views have become one of the more popular features that Corona offers. With that scrutiny comes the inevitable questions about usage, and our community is truly impressive in its ability to provide insight and assistance whenever called upon.

This time, we learn how to insert different kinds of Corona objects into table views, so scoot over to the original thread, grab some snippets, or add your own to the discussion!

3. Widgetstown: where the coolest widgets can be found

The best-kept secret surrounding the open-source Corona widgets is the strides that developers have been making to add features and relevant additions that have become indispensable to so many of us. And with the creation of CoronaCards, adding these widgets to other native apps is now a reality.

In keeping with the open mindset, a group of Corona developers have created a site called widgetstown.com which they hope will become a one-stop shop for all things related to the open-source widget library.
