A leg up for databases
So you read the post above, and you’re excited about diving into the wild world of server maintenance. You’re primed and focused on squeezing the absolute most out of your server implementation, but there’s just one problem: all you have is a solid base in PHP.

Loopy for loops
Ending our series of epiphanies today is a topic that is referenced often but not dissected and examined quite enough: loops. Lua pairs() and ipairs() are tossed around so often that we assume everyone knows how to use them as easily as you flip a pancake. However, while these calls are implemented in some of the most useful code snippets around, the concepts can be difficult to wrap your head around.
