Corona Labs at GDC: Demos, coding sessions, contests, and more!

GDC logoGDC is just around the corner and we can’t wait to share the awesomeness of Corona SDK, Enterprise and Cloud with game developers, enthusiasts and beyond. We’ll be exhibiting and demoing in booth #1738 at GDC from March 27-29, 2013. Please stop by the booth to enjoy Corona’s action-packed schedule of events listed below.

If you’re attending, please email us at gdc@coronalabs.com to schedule a meeting, receive updates on events and learn about after-hour shindigs. We encourage both active Corona users, as well as new friends, to stop by to experience live demos and meet our awesome team. We’ll also be giving out some great Corona swag and a Corona SDK license (or two) to a few lucky winners!

Live Coding with Hiptic Games (Creators of ShaqDown)

12:30pm – 1:30pm

Celebrity basketball star Shaq, recently starred in a Corona-made action game: ShaqDown! Come meet the dynamic duo behind the game, George Deglin, a stellar mobile developer and Long Vo, a well-known designer and illustrator, and watch their live coding session.

As an audience member, we encourage you to participate and suggest feature changes along the way.

Corona Game Hour

3pm – 4pm

Join us for Corona Game Hour to play the latest chart-topping apps built with the Corona platform: Major Magnet, Freeze! and Chip Chain. Test your hand at helping the lovable Major Magnet find his trusty cape, guiding Freeze!’s gloomy eyeball towards a safe-portal with physics-based gameplay, and matching 3 or more identical poker chips in Chip Chain.

We’ll be giving away Corona t-shirts to players with the best scores – join us!

Corona SDK: Physics tips and tricks

We’re adding a handful of awesome physics methods to your bag of tricks! Join us for a physics mini-session and see how easily you can implement sticky projectiles and a one-sided platformer with Corona SDK.
