Starting in daily build 2014.2277, we are changing the minimum supported version on iOS from 5.1 to 6. This means that if you do a device build with 2014.2277 (or later), your app will not run on a device whose version is below iOS 6. This change is needed to move our iOS architecture forward, and finally pay off technical debt that has been accumulating for nearly 18 months, which is an eternity in the mobile space....

During this week's Corona Geek Hangout we talked with Eclipse Foundation Internet of Things (IoT) Evangelist, Benjamin Cabé about using open platform hardware and open source projects with Corona SDK. Benjamin walked us through a project that included the use of some of the open-source tools that are part of the Eclipse IoT ecosystem along with a MQTT Corona SDK demo project....

We walked through server side Go code that stores data in a Google Cloud Datastore using NoSQL and we looked at a Corona code project that displays the returned data in an app that can be built for any of the Corona supported mobile platforms....
